Who this is for:
Level 1 is designed for couples who are ready to move forward amicably and don’t share children under 21 or significant assets or debts. If you and your spouse agree on the terms of your divorce and just need the right documents and step-by-step guidance, this level is a great fit.
How we'll work together
Step 1: Take the Assessment
Start by completing our short online assessment. This helps us understand your situation and confirm whether Divorce Den is the right fit.

Step 2: We Review Your Answers
A real member of our team will carefully review your responses. If everything looks like a match, we’ll invite you to a free 15-minute consult. If we see that you don’t qualify we’ll let you know by email, so you don’t waste time.

Step 3: Free 15-Minute Consult
In this call, both spouses must attend. We’ll talk through which level of support works best, explain the process, and make sure you’re both comfortable moving forward. If you decide to proceed, you’ll receive:
-
An intake sheet to complete,
-
A scheduling link for a fuller intake meeting, and
-
An invoice for the level of service you select.

Step 4: Intake Meeting
During your intake meeting, we’ll review your completed intake sheet together to confirm accuracy, fill in any gaps, and ensure both parties understand the process and expectations.

Step 5: Receive Your Documents + Filing Instructions
Once everything is confirmed, we’ll provide you with your fillable divorce documents and clear, step-by-step filing instructions so you can move forward with confidence.

Please Note:

All meetings related to this service will be virtual.

All payments related to this service will need to be electronic, we do not accept physical checks or cash.

The Divorce Den Blueprint requires participation and cooperation from both parties. The assessment, and any outreach form Divorce Den is not intended to be the first time a spouse learns about divorce, and we cannot proceed unless both of you are ready to move forward together.
Additional support is offered through our Trusted Pro Network if needed.

Ready to take the assessment?
What's included:
-
New York–specific divorce documents tailored to your situation
-
Based on your intake form and intake meeting, our team provides DIY-friendly, fillable documents designed for your circumstances. You’ll be able to complete and file these on your own with confidence.

-
Easy-to-follow instructions for completing and filing forms
We only provide the documents that apply to your specific situation, not a generic stack of every possible NYS form. Our e-filing instructions are based on the most up-to-date guidance from the NYS eCourts system.

-
Guidance on timelines, filing fees, and next steps
Filing requirements may vary by county. We’ll walk you through what to expect in your jurisdiction, including filing timelines and typical court filing fees. (Please note: court filing fees are not included in your Divorce Den Blueprint fee.)

-
Optional referrals to trusted professionals if needed
This service is best for couples who already agree on all major terms. If a few issues still need to be resolved, need a remote notary or translation services, we can connect you with professionals from our Trusted Partner Network who can help you finalize agreements.
What's not included:
-
Parenting documents (required if you have children)
Level 1 is only for couples who do not have children under 21 (or children with special needs under 26). If you have adult children, or children from previous relationships, they do not need to be included in your divorce paperwork. However, if you have younger children, New York State requires specific parenting documents that are included in Level 3 and Level 4.

-
Support for dividing complex assets like retirement accounts or real estate
This level is not designed for couples who need to divide property, retirement accounts, home equity, or other significant assets. It’s best suited for couples who don’t share property, finances, or debt that need to be split.

-
Stipulation of Settlement or Legal Advice
Level 1 does not include a full “divorce agreement” (legally called a Stipulation of Settlement), which covers asset division, child custody, and other terms. With this level, you’ll be drafting and filing your own documents using our guidance and resources. Divorce Den is not a law firm, so we do not provide legal advice. If legal advice is needed, please check out our Trusted Pro Network!

-
In person filing instructions
As each County Clerk may have slightly different filing procedures or requirements, we cannot give detailed in-person filing guidance.
If you choose to file at the County Clerk’s office, you’ll still receive all of your required documents prepared according to the state’s e-filing standards. The County Clerk may let you know directly if anything additional is needed to meet their local requirements.
