A few practical things

Tech talk:

Since Divorce Den is a virtual, self-paced service, we want to be sure that you have a few basics in place, before moving forward. These practical requirements help us confirm you’re ready to participate and that the process will run smoothly for you.

Do you have access to a printer and scanner?
Yes
No
Are you comfortable meeting virtually (via Zoom)?
Yes
No
Can you read and write in English?
Yes
No

Please note: New York courts require that all divorce documents be drafted and filed in English. We want you to feel 100% comfortable when reading and signing your documents. If English isn’t your primary language, translation services are available for an additional cost to help ensure everything is accurate and compliant.

Are you able to pay for services digitally?
Yes
No
Are you comfortable filing documents either in person at your local County Clerk's office or online?
Yes
No

Please note: In New York, divorce papers can often be submitted through the state’s e-filing system. As part of our program, we’ll guide you through the filing process step by step.

Do you have access to notary services?
Yes
No

New York State requires certain divorce documents to be notarized before they can be accepted for filing. Most people access a notary through banks, UPS stores, or some law offices.

If you’re differently abled, homebound, or simply unable to leave work or home and cannot access a notary, Divorce Den can arrange remote/online notary services for an additional cost, so you can still move forward.

Almost done!

Thank you for taking the time to complete this assessment. To move forward please share your contact information, as well as your spouse’s, so that we can include both of you in the process from the very beginning.

Because the Divorce Den Blueprint is designed for couples who are ready to move forward together, having both parties’ information ensures we can guide you properly.
